Choose your extension leadwire depending on environmental considerations such as temperature, electromagnetic or chemical content, and also the leadwire length – select a lower resistance leadwire for longer cable run requirements to maximise measurement sensitivity. The solder terminals are selected depending on the temperature and the size of your gauge/specimen – you will need a steady hand when soldering to the smallest 2SS terminals! Please contact us for any advice on selection.
TML Connecting Terminals provide convenient junction points to solder strain gauges to instrumentation lead wires. Foil types comprise an etched copper foil on a glass-epoxy backing. Cubic plastic types comprise a small plastic cube with two wires of approximately 0.8mm diameter embedded into the cube. All types are available in our UK stock for fast delivery.
