Get the job done right, with ease.

LaserLinc’s non-contact measurement equipment is ideal for off-line sample inspection, in addition to continuous dynamic measurement applications. The BenchLinc™ system performs a comprehensive measurement evaluation for wall thickness and inner and outer diameter for tube products.

Application-specific sample inspection with wall thickness

BenchLinc™ variants include -V for simple manual diameter and ovality (with a Triton™-series laser micrometer) checks, -OD for checking diameter at multiple locations around a sample tube, wire, or other product; -OD/ID for checking diameter, ovality, material thickness, and inside diameter of tube and hose samples; and -UT for checking wall thickness and concentricity of tubing, especially for metals like nickel titanium (NiTi), frequently used to make stents.

Like Metron systems, BenchLinc systems are often used to verify dynamic in-process measurements, closing the validation loop.

Unique quality control for wall thickness.

Full-length inspection

BenchLinc UT has a unique UltraGauge™ fixture for measuring cut-to-length tubes. Check wall thickness and concentricity using precision ultrasonics. With a Triton laser micrometer, add diameter, ovality, and inside diameter to verify the entire tube profile.

Automate Inspection

BenchLinc OD/ID has an integrated load cell to ensure operator-independent results. It uses specially designed mandrels to support the samples for smooth, automatic sample rotation, and reliable results. Replaces dial indicators, hand mics, and other inferior systems.

Easily check OD and ovality.

Automate it

Get a detailed profile of your sample with a BenchLinc OD system. Define the inspection cycle: Up to 100 checks at a user-defined angle interval. Easily place tube, wire, or other product samples using the unique spring-loaded chuck. Automatic rotation, statistics, and tolerance checking take care of the rest.

Make it easy

Quickly check parts with a BenchLinc V system. The V-block ensures consistent results; a through-hole guide option makes it very easy. Integrate your workflow into the Total Vu HMI to check at specific locations, scan entire sections, or inspect batches. (Also available with a SmartLinc™ Display for easy validation and compact form factor.)

The Benchlinc System offers several advantages, including:

  • ID/OD/Wall measurement, display, tolerance checking, SPC and data logging in a single device.
  • The system provides offline cold and relaxed sample measurement for automatic offset and verification for in-process UltraGauge+ systems.
  • With Total Vu™ HMI for both off-line and dynamic in-process systems, users experience seamless integration and system architecture.
  • It is available in 1-inch [25.4mm] and 2-inch [50.8mm] models.
  • A 12-inch, easy-to-use, colour touchscreen Windows tablet PC provides a quality user experience.
  • Hardened steel custom-designed mandrels with a low friction coating keep the tube sample accurately located in position during measurement rotation and accommodate small burrs on the tube ID.
  • Rather than a carbon steel three-jaw Jacobs chuck, an adjustable dovetail mount mandrel holder offers a snug fit. Operators can fasten the mount using a hex tool for easy installation.
  • Wider drive belts offer the most dependable part rotation.
