The TML TMR-300 Series Multi-Recorder system utilises several key units for data acquisition and control: a control unit (TMR-311) for managing the system and communicating with a computer, measurement units (e.g., TMR-322, TMR-332, TMR-341) for inputting sensor data, a display unit (TMR-381) for monitoring and control, and a distribution unit/adaptor (TMR-371-1) for connecting measurement units and managing power.

Multi-Recorder Control Unit TMR-311

This modular control unit serves as the central component of a multi-recorder system. It manages, powers, and gathers data from the connected measurement units. The system can control up to ten measurement units, allowing for the measurement of a maximum of 80 points.

Multi-Recorder Display Unit TMR-381

The TMR-381 display unit allows for stand-alone control of a multi-recorder, enabling settings, measurement control, monitoring, and file management. It connects via a dedicated I/F cable, drawing power from the TMR-311 control unit, or through a LAN cable for up to 100 meters, using a USB mobile battery as a power source. The display unit operates independently, so measurements continue even if it’s turned off after starting an automatic measurement. It can be used just for data confirmation or to stop measurements.

Distribution Unit TMR-371

This is an interface unit to enable the distributed connection of measurement units. Up to ten measurement units can be arranged in a star-type connection using STP cable (100 m at maximum).

Distribution adaptor TMR-371-1: This adapter is connected to each measurement unit. The STP cable coming from the TMR-371 is connected to this adapter. Since the power is supplied from the control unit TMR-311, no power supply is required at the site of measurement.

Multi-Recorder Measurement Unit (TMR-300 Series)

  • Strain Full Bridge Unit TMR-321: This unit is for the measurement of strain in a full bridge connection. Measurement of DC voltage is also possible by using the optional attenuator cable (CR-4010).
  • Strain 1G2G4G unit TMR-322: This unit is for the measurement of strain. Using the supplied detachable bridge box (SB-120T or SB-350T; selected when ordering) or terminal block, measurement in quarter bridge 3-wire, half bridge and full bridge connection is possible.
  • Carrier type strain unit TMR-323: This unit is for the measurement of strain in a full bridge connection with carrier wave bridge excitation, which is resistant to noise. It is the most suitable for the measurement on site where induction noise or commercial power noise is expected.
  • Voltage Input Unit TMR-331: This unit is for the measurement of DC voltage within the range of ±52 V.
  • Thermocouple / Voltage Unit TMR-332: This unit is for the measurement of temperature with thermocouple T, K or J, and also for the measurement of DC voltage within ±20 V. Since the terminal blocks for connection are detachable from the unit main body, connection works can be made easily.
  • Voltage output Unit TMR-341: Conversion and output of data in analogue voltage for strain, temperature, etc., measured by other units.
  • CAN Unit TMR-351: Built-in CAN interface enables data recording and output from the CAN bus. Simultaneous measurement of vehicle integrated control signals, acceleration, torque, and stress, enabling control system analysis.
  • Digital Input/Output Unit TMR-353: Count and frequency conversion functionality for digital pulse signal from rotary encoder and/or speed sensor. Various kinds of digital input/output signals are available, necessary for measurement: Trigger signal (start measuring) input, sampling clock input/output and alarm signal (upper and lower limit setting) output.
  • GPS Unit TMR-354: This unit is a component of the “Automobile Related Measurement System” and records driving position information from the Global Positioning System (GPS).
  • Charge Amplifier Unit TMR-361: Higher frequency response and higher operable temperature range. Compatible with piezoelectric accelerometers.
  • Synchronisation Unit TMR-372: The TMR-372 synchronisation unit enables synchronous measurement of the TMR-300 series and TMR-200 series. In combination with the TMR-211 control unit, up to four units can be used for sampling and trigger synchronous measurement.
