DC CAPACITIVE (MEMS)
These sensors are used for the measurement of vibration, acceleration or “g-force” at low frequencies down to static levels, and generally have at least a 2000g or higher overload capability. Some units also have on board gyros combining orientation measurement with acceleration. A variety of interface options are available including voltage output, piezo-resistive, USB, wireless and the 4400 logs vibration data to an SD card in a fully self-contained package

STRAIN GAUGE TYPE
These devices are suitable for long term monitoring of structures or vehicles or in applications where it is more convenient to use existing strain gauge signal conditioning and instrumentation. These sensors have a 300% of full scale range overload capability. A fully waterproof model is available for submersible use.
